Welcome to Flytec Balloon. We started out in Switzerland, where we built the very first electronic variometer for free-flying pilots, over 35 years ago. In 1992, we were the first to build a variometer for ballooning with wireless envelope temperature transmission.

Since then, we have equipped thousands of balloons with our temperature sensors, our balloon varios are flying all over the world, and at least one of them flew once around the globe in a single flight. Pilots at all levels, from recreational balloonists to commercial operations, all the way to world champions both in hot air and gas ballooning, rely on Flytec Balloon varios.

Today, our varios are a collaboration between Volirium in Switzerland (responsible for marketing and development) and Flymaster Avionics in Portugal (reponsible for marketing, production, sales and support)
